LIVE MAS is the only available Ocean Alexander 85E with the significant $431,000 upgrade to the MTU 12V2000 M96 Performance Engine Package over the CAT C32 ACERT Engines.  This engine package is typically preferred for luxury yachts and high-performance leisure boats due to its emphasis on smooth operation and quick acceleration.  The MTU 12V2000 M96 is generally considered slightly lighter than the CAT C32, which can be beneficial in applications where weight is a critical factor.  Regarding noise level, while both engines are relatively quiet, the MTU 12V2000 M96 is often cited as having a slightly quieter operation, particularly at lower RPMs.
