All you need is your groceries, clothes and personal items to take this gorgeous IP40 cruising today!! Located in Scappoose Oregon (20 min from downtown Portland), she is in freshwater and has been since 2007 when current owners (second owners) purchased her. AMAZING GRACE looks like a boat 20 years newer she is that well kept and clean.

The IP40 has an amazing amount of working deck space for a 40ft boat, a large cockpit, and a voluminous interior living space. Stepping onboard, you are immediately aware that she is a serious bluewater/world cruiser, and that the boat is very well constructed. No lightweight and cheap plastic fitting or hardware, all portlights are stainless, quality Lewmar deck hatches and winches, and Schaefer furlers on genoa and staysail. Halyards and control lines are lead aft to the cockpit for ease of use when shorthanded, and apart from the dodger, there is full cockpit canvas to cover up with in the colder reaches. Most of the time, current owners keep the Isinglass panels removed and stowed, with just the bimini top up. There is also a well built, very neat aluminum dinghy davit off of the transom of the boat, with two self tailing Lewmar winches mounted on it, to stow your dinghy safely and out of the way.

From the cockpit, descent down the companionway is met with a gorgeous, almost new looking interior! Owners have removed all of their personal gear from the boat, making it ready for you to bring your gear and stow it where you want! Immediately to starboard, you have a galley that is quite large, and would be easy to prep meals in, even when heeled over. Large dual stainless steel sinks with the additional showerhead attachment, large in-counter top fridge/freezer, a three burner propane Princes stove/oven, as well as tons of storage, allow for an excellent work area to feed a hungry crew with tasty tasty food while at sea or at anchor!

From the companionway stairs, immediately to your portside, you have the master head, which doubles as the day head for guests. It does have a separate entrance from the master stateroom. Equipped with shower, head (toilet), sink and storage, it is of a good size and comfortable layout, even for a big guy like myself. Aft of the head is the master stateroom with a queen size berth, that makes for a very comfortable sleeping arrangement, and is quite open and airy. There is a good amount of storage is available, so that you can bring more of the clothes you like!

The salon is well laid out, with an L-shaped settee to stbd, and another straight settee to port. The salon table folds up to the forward bulkhead when stowed, and is completely out of the way. When in use, it can open and extend to service both settee’s, meaning you can seat 6 to 7 people around it pretty comfortably. Impressive for a 40ft boat! Behind the salon table on the bulkhead, there is a glass and wine bottle storage. There is tons of storage under the settee’s and in lockers in the salon. They used their space very well on these IP40’s. To the stbd side and just forward of the galley, you find the chart table, with the electrical panel just on the outboard side of you when sitting at the chart table.

Forward of the salon, you enter into the forward stateroom, with it’s own head and shower. Large enough for two, this is the perfect self contained guest accommodation. A large hanging locker and drawers provide plenty of storage, as we see everywhere on this boat. Head and shower is once again large, and comfortable to use. Both heads on this boat have seating to be able to sit down while showering, which is handy when under sail.

Easy access to bilges from easy to open hatches in the teak and holly sole, make for great conditions to have to work on anything below the cabin sole. The engine is located aft and center of the salon, and has three opening doors, meaning no problems when it’s time to perform service and maintenance work. The 50hp Yanmar looks band new it’s been so well kept and maintained. Always properly serviced, it will last for a long time to come.

All in all, AMAZING GRACE is an excellent choice for you to go cruising now, do not miss out and let someone else make her theirs. Call or email the listing broker today to schedule your time to fall in love with AMAZING GRACE!!
