Prestigious and concours quality this 1950 Huckins Ortega 40 shines.  Pride in ownership is evident throughout the boat. Initially, the planning hull was designed by Huckins for World War II PT Boats. The success of the hull design sparked the creation of the Ortega model.  The name Huckins is renowned in the boat business. To this day they are still family owned, building some of the finest motor yachts out of their location in Florida.

Victory of the Sea was aptly named as a tribute to Huckins history in WWII.  Her current owner has operated Huckins vessels for the past 30 years.  His pride for the brand shines throughout. Boat house kept, this yacht shows as something that is show quality; re-powered, re-wired, stripped bottom and epoxy coated. Interior features high quality updated upholstery, stunning cork flooring, custom blinds throughout, and period appropriate details. Entering into the salon you will find two settees to port and starboard.  The helm station features Furuno Radar Display, VHF radio, and electrical panel. Seating for both the helm station and co-pilot is finished in new luxurious leather.  Opposite the helm station is additional seating. Windows have all been replaced and are easy to operate. Stepping down you will find a spacious galley to port with a newer Sea Freeze Fridge, New Force 10 4 burner stove with oven, and stainless steel counters with sink.  The flooring is original and in beautiful condition.  To starboard is the spacious head with a Vacuflush toilet and large walk in shower.

Twin Chrysler Hemi V8s showcased in stunning teak boxes present like a museum piece.  With 200HP each, the fire right up with an improved carburetor design and Petronix ignition.  The fuel tank capacity is 165 gallons. Aluminum manifolds, newer props, and new dripless shaft seals further exemplify the pride in ownership of this boat.  All new 12V wiring and panel installed by Hendricks Electric of Seattle and meets ABYC standards.  She’s also equipped with a Halon fire suppression system.  The list goes on and on.

Come see Victory of the Sea and be transported back to the stunning craftsmanship of yesteryear. Boat house is also available for sale in addition to the vessel. Boat house is located at Portland Yacht Club. Must be a member to own a boat house there.  $79,990
