The Gig Harbor Maritime Gig Festival is one of Puget Sound’s most revered traditions because it reflects the working waterfront, fishing families, local boaters, and maritime traditions that shaped the harbor. Sunday: We’ll be at the slip until 1:00 PM, then on the water for the Blessing of the Fleet. If you call while we’re out, we’ll return to the slip.

The Key Event: Blessing of the Fleet

The Blessing of the Fleet is the main draw. Boats line up and pass through the harbor to be blessed—something that goes back to the town’s commercial fishing roots.

It’s spine chilling. Like colors at Roche Harbor. You’ll see everything from working boats to newer yachts, all in one place. For owners, it’s a reminder that boating here is still tied to real maritime tradition—not just recreation.

WS Yacht Brokers will be hosting private walk-throughs aboard the Chris-Craft Calypso 32 at Murphy’s Landing Marina. The marina is gated, so call Dana at 253-732-7342 for access and we’ll meet you at the dock.

The Calypso 32 is a premium Chris-Craft dual-console day yacht built for entertaining, cruising, and serious Puget Sound use — and this weekend, you can step aboard in Gig Harbor instead of just looking at photos online.

This Calypso 32 is powered by twin Mercury Verado V10 400 HP outboards, giving it 800 total horsepower with the quiet, modern feel of Mercury’s V10 platform. At the helm, it is equipped with dual Garmin 8612xsv 12” multifunction displays, integrated engine and system information, Mercury joystick piloting, Digital Throttle & Shift, electric steering, bow thruster, and heated helm seats.
